Research ObjectivesTo explore the syndrome distribution regularities and relevance to ureaplasma urealyticum of pelvic inflammatory disease, to seek the syndrome distribution regularities of PID patients who are also suffered from ureaplasma urealyticum infection, to take full advantage of TCM to service patients who suffered from PID.MethodsTo look up the admission note of hospitalized patients who suffered from PID and who have tested the ureaplasma urealyticum of the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM since March,2008 to December 2009. To collect the general Information history of menstruation and pregnancy, previous history, accessory examination, TCM symptoms, tongue and pulse. And then building the data base with Excel and analyzing the data with SPSS13.0.Result1.287 effectively cases were collected totally,172 cases suffered from ureaplasma urealyticum infection (shorted as Uu positive group),115 cases were didn't suffered from ureaplasma urealyticum infection (shorted as Uu negative group).2. Uu positive PID patients are mainly concentrated in the age from 25 to 35, there is a statistically significant difference (P< 0.01).3. Uu positive PID patients suffered from PID longer than Uu negative patients; there is statistically a difference (P<0.01).4. Uu positive PID patients suffered from higher risk of infertility, vaginitis and chronic cervicitis than Uu negative group, there is statistically a difference (P< 0.05)5. the most common syndrome of Uu positive group is damp-heat and blood stagnation, second one is damp-heat accumulation and seldomly can meet qi and blood stagnation. The most common syndrome of Uu negative group is damp-heat accumulation, second one is qi and blood stagnation, seldomly can meet damp-heat and blood stagnation, there is a statistically significant difference (P< 0.01).ConclusionThe PID patients who are also suffered from Uu infection are mostly at the age of sexually active age and be with a longer course of disease, they are also easy to complicate with infertility, vaginitis and chronic cervicitis. The most common syndromes are damp-heat and blood stagnation, damp-heat accumulation and qi and blood stagnation.
