Objective:Systematically summary the understanding of the theory of acne from the ancient and modern literature and explore the effect of combined therapy of acupuncture on treating acne of moist and heat in lung and stomach.Methods:105 cases were divided randomly into three groups,35 cases in every group. The acupuncture group with an ordinary acupuncture, bloodletting of acupuncture needle and cupping was observed, Western medicine group with Viaminate E cream applied externally, Chinese medicine group with Wuwei disinfection drink and Artemisia decoction was the controlled groups. The treatment was given for 8 weeks. The effect was determined based on the acne of GAGS, and spirit and quality of life based on Qol-Acne.Results:Three kinds of heat treatment on acne of moist and heat in lung and stomach has good effect (P<0.05). The total effect of the acupuncture group was significantly better than the two control groups (P<0.05), especially the level ofâ…¡,â…£. The effect of the acupuncture group was also better in reducing lesion score and increasing the specific quality of patients'life (P<0.05)Conclusions:The effect of the acupuncture group on treating acne of moist and heat in lung and stomach was better in the total effect and increasing quality of patients' life.
