To study its effects on the plasma gastrointestinal hormone and discuss its possible mechanism. Methods:It was a randomized, parallel controlled and multiple center trial design.Fifty-seven diarrhea cases(spleen and kidney deficiency) were randomly divided into treatment group, that is 29 cases of the treatment group and 28 cases of the control group, the former group were treated with Self-drawn TC,which is made by nourish spleen and warming kidney and astringent, and the latter with Smecta for two weeks. Changes of plasma MTL,SS,SP and the therapeutic effects were observed. Results:After treatment, The total efficiencies of TC and Smecta are 82.76% and 32.14%,respectively.The two groups have signficant differences (P<0.05). Results in treatment group was better than that in contral one.levels of the three indices were restored in both group approaching the normal range with significance.
