Objective:To investigate the clinical curative effect of Milkvetch injection combined with Ligustrazine injection in treating Diabetes Cerebral Hypofunction, and the effect on patients'blood sugar(BS), serum lipids, Short-term Memory Function, Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials. Methods:Total 72 patients with Diabetes Cerebral Hypofunction were randomly divided into two groups.Control group has 36 cases, treated with vitamin B1, vitamin B12 and cytidine diphosphate cholin after conventional therapy. Treatment group has 36 cases, were remedied moreover with Milkvetch Injection and Ligustrazine Injection on the basis of control group therapy. The two groups were treated continuously 1 to 2 courses of treatment and 15 days as 1 course. The clinical symptoms, blood sugar, triglyceride, cholesterol were detected, The Short-term Memory Function and Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials were taken before and after the treatment.Results:(1) The clinical symptoms of the treatment group improved after the treatment and the excellence rate of curative effect was 83.3% with total effective rate was 94.4%, which was superior to those of control group(P<0.01). (2) The FBG, TC, TG of the treatment group were decreased significantly after the treatment. There were significant differences compared with control group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). (3) The scale scores of orientation memory, total score of The Short-term Memory Function of treatment group were improved significantly after the treatment. There were significant differences compared with control group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). (4) The latencies ofⅠ,Ⅲ,Ⅴpeaks and interpeak latencies ofⅢ-Ⅴof Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials of treatment group were shortened significantly. There were significant differences compared with control group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusions:Milkvetch Injection Combined with Ligustrazine Injection can improve the clinical symptoms, decrease the FBG, TC,TG levels, improve cognitive function and nerve conduction function significantly in treatment of Diabetes Cerebral Hypofunction patients. The mechanism is probably improving the electrophysiology function of the brain nerves by improving microcirculation and protecting the brain neurons.
