Objective: It is important to analyze the abnormal changes in the early stage of brain stem infarction and the early warning value of the development of brain stem infarctionMethods: Brainstem auditory evoked potentials(BAEP)were performed at admission to the patients who were diagnosed with brainstem MRI at 24 hours after admission.At the time of admission and at 48 hours of course,patients were admitted to the National Institutes of Health(NIHSS)score,according to the two NIHSS score,and meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria,divided into brain stem ischemic stroke group(SIP group)and brain stem ischemic non-progressive stroke group(control group),Compare two groups of patients just BAEP test results on admission to hospital,with every wave incubation period of I,?,V(PL)and I ? ?,? ? V,I ? V peak to peak latency(IPL)as observation indexes and BAEP in patients with two groups of test results were analyzed.Results: 1.The study completed a total of 36 cases,SIP group of 18 cases,including male patients in 10 cases,female patients in 8 cases,aged 49 to 82 years,mean age 72.50 ± 8.91 years;the control group of 18 patients,including male patients in 9 cases,9 patients,aged 47 to 85 years,mean age 73.06 ± 10.11 years old.There was no significant difference between the two groups in gender,age,hypertension,diabetes and other general data(P> 0.05).2.The total abnormal rate of BAEP was 83.33%,the unilateral abnormal rate was 22.22%,t he abnormal rate was 61.11%.Main abnormality is bilateral ?,V wave PL and IPL extend ? ? V wave,SIP group BAEP The total abnormal rate was 88.89%,the unilateral abnormality rate was 22.22%,and the abnormal rate was 66.67%.Main abnormality is bilateral ?,V wave PL and IPL extend ? ? V wave.BAEP is found in both groups,the total abnormal rate,unilateral,bilateral abnormal rate and abnormal rate of I,?,V wave PL,I-?,I-V IPL abnormal rate differences had no statistical significance(P < 0.05),But SIP ?-V wave IPL set of abnormal rate higher than the control group obviously and ?-V IPL value was significantly longer than the control group obviously(that is,the difference is statistically significant,P < 0.05).3.Conclusion: 1.BAEP can be used as an adjunct to the early diagnosis of brainstem infarction,and the abnormal performance is mainly the bilateral ?,V wave PL and ?? V wave IPL extension;2.In this study,we discussed the relationship between BAEP and the progress of brain stem infarction.It was found that the prolongation of IPL value of BAEP ?? V wave in the early stage of brainstem infarction was likely to progress,that is,the IPL value of BAEP ?? V wave in the early stage of brainstem infarction Progress in brain stem infarction may have early warning values.However,due to the small sample size of this study,we do not have the conditions of multi-factor regression analysis,that is,we can not exclude the other potential risk factors,we will expand the sample size in the future to further study.
