The Proximal Humerus Anatomic Locking Plate For Treatment Of The Eldrly To Neer Ⅲ Ⅳ Humerus Surgical Neck Fractures Of The Clinical Research

Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect on treating unstable type humerussurgical neck fractures with Proximal humeral anatomy of locking plates therapy, so wecan improve the Cure rate of Humerus surgical neck fractures.Methods: We get39patients (16male and23female, the oldest is91years and theyoungest is45, with average age68) with unstable type humerus surgical neck fractures.The cases were all got surgical treatments (24cases are from left side and15are from rightside) and Postoperative follow-up from the orthopedics department of the affiliatedhospital of Shandong traditional medicine university, from October2008to October2011.According to the standard of Neer classification, these cases contain20cases for the thirdtype,19cases for the fourth type. Before surgery, we made clinical and imaging evaluation,make sure the surgery opportunity. During the operation, we paid more attention forprotecting the Soft tissue and Vessels and nerves. After surgery, we gave the Rehabilitationfunctional exercises and took necessary measures to prevent the complications. We usedNeer Rating criteria shoulder function standard of grading to get the score and observe theCurative rate.Results:39cases were followed up, excellent in23, good in13, fair in2, and poor in1,92.3%excellent or good results were obtained.Conclusion: The proximal humerus anatomic locking plate treatment of middle-agedto Neer III and IV humerus surgical neck fractures of the more effective treatment;intraoperative attention to careful operation, postoperative exercise function of the systemto restore shoulder function is particularly important. Such treatment is worthy of clinicalapplication and further research.
