Objective:Our study is to summarize the characteristic of TCM determination of treatment based in pathogenesis obtained through differentiation of symptoms and signs and western medicine therapeutics by information of rheumatoid arthritis patients, and know the history regularity further, so can give proof to better treatment.Methods:We summarized medical records of patients of First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM from 2005 to 2009 that are diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis (RA):summarized raw information of sexuality,age,pathogenesis,stage,season,joint symptoms,tongue and pulse,X-ray staging,chemical examination,western medicine,TCM patterns of syndromes,TCM therapeutics,prescription frequency and percentage,inward praeparatum and modern Chinese prepared medicines,adjunctive therapy,curative effect etc, and draw the conclusion of distribution law.Results:RA incidence rates of female are more than those of male, age from 41-70 are the most. Southern China is the most area, second are southeast and middle-south China, while northeast and northwest are the least.most pathogenesis are within 10 years, intermediate stage are most, winter is the most season of invasion. Articulation symptoms mixed together, tongue demonstration means humid heat, later hurt genuine YIN of liver-kidney, last, qi-stagnancy and blood stasis pathogenesis occur. pulse fit weak of liver-kidney YIN, weak of 1QI-YIN, qi-stagnancy and blood stasis and pain, coincide picture of the tongue. RA patients in our hospital are more of middle-aged femme, to be in hospital most in winter and spring.2. TCM patterns of syndrome most are humid heat blockade and deficiency of liver and kidney, GUANGDONG province is the main source of patients.3.
