Application Of Z-Plasty In Repair Of Incomplete Unilateral Cleft Lip

Objective:To explore the clinical application of z-plasty in repair of incomplete unilateral cleft lip, analyze application value of z-plasty in repair of incomplete unilateral cleft lip through the comprehensive evaluation of operation.Methods:By individual design,37 patients with incomplete unilateral cleft lip were repaired lip cleft,renewed lip height,repaired orbicular muscle of mouth and repaired nasal deformity by z-plasty in the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery,the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University.Results:The method was used in 37 patients, all cases were treated with primary healing. Followed up 3 months to 18 months, the ideal operative effects were obtained in all cases. The height and width of cleft side were symmetric with non-cleft side,the philtral column protruded and the red lip's form was natural and abundant, prolabium and the Cupid's bow was symmetric, position of columella was centered. The nostrils are symmetric.Conclusion:We made a elaborative design before operations of incomplete unilateral cleft lip,and we reformed the traditional operation menthod.Through contrasting the preoperative and postoperative photograph, we found that the individual reconstruction of incomplete unilateral cleft lip is rational and simple,and is an ideal method for unilateral cleft lip repair.
