The study on competence and competency of nurses nursing for craniocerebral trauma patients are preconditions and important task to push about the program of nursing speciality. It's an important part of specific nursing studies. At present, The study on specific nursing are arounding intensive care, emergency care, operation care, organ transplantation care et, al. Few work had done to identify competence and competency of nurses nursing for craniocerebral trauma patients.This study were meant to push forward the program of specialization for craniocerebral trauma nursing with researches on concept, composition, training contents, evaluation index, competency scale and competency model. All the works we had done including:1. Collected data through literature retrieval, questionnaire investigation and tele-investigation.Then made deep analysis on concept and connotation of the competence of craniocerebral trauma nursing based on ground theory. For these works, we had been the first one who explained the definition, contents and characteristic of craniocerebral trauma nursing competence so detailed and complete.2. Collected data through literature retrieval, Delphi experts'consultation and questionnaire investigation. Seted up core training contents and its evaluation index for craniocerebral trauma nursing training program. And then determine the weight of every index scientificly followed by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method.3. Collected data through questionnaire investigation, Behavioral Event Interview (BEI) and scale measuring. Establish the competency scale of nurses nursing for craniocerebral trauma patients through exploratory factor analysis and principal component analysis. Optimized competency model of nurses nursing for caniocerebral trauma patients were seted up by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), using the data of all the 818 scales. We do belive that the evaluating index system and the competency scale would be good tools for nursing educationer and management to evaluat the competence and competency of nurses nursing for craniocerebral trauma patients, and provid helpful consultion.
