Study Of The Origin, Correlative Clinical Application And Structure Of SiWu Decoction

The paper explores the origin of SiWu Decoction and studies the structure and correlative clinical application from the point of herbs of SiWu Decoction.The first 3 chapters analysis the course of JiaoAi Decoction evolved into SiWu Decoction and mechanism of the disease and efficiency of the formula. The paper believes that mechanism of the disease is stagnation of qi and blood and efficiency of the formula is activating and nourishing blood. This paper discusses on the application of formulae which are similar with JiaoAi Decoction in combination based on background of the era.The last 4 chapters discriminate the formulae and herbs , and this part of paper also researches the character of structure and clinical application of SiWu Decoction. The methods used in the paper are Chi-square test and correspondence analysis. They are used to analysis compatibility rules and clinical application of the herbs in SiWu Decoction.The author finds that the formulae containing Rhizome of Szechwan Lovage mainly used to treat Gynecological Diseases and the formula containing Paeony Root mainly used to treat Internal Miscellaneous Diseases in Han Dynasty. In WeiJinNanBei Dynasty the formulae related with SiWu Decoction were most used to treat Surgical Diseases. In SuiTang Dynasty the status of Gynecological Diseases was underlined again and the status of Orthopedic disease went up. In this period the treatment to Gynecological diseases was still leaded by the formulae containing Rhizome of Szechuan Lovage. The Status of Internal Miscellaneous Diseases had little changes from Han Dynasty to Tang Dynasty, but it hold prominent status at all times.There were some compatibility characters in that period, Rhizome of Szechuan Lovage and Chinese Angelica showed close relation. The relationship between them was weaker in WeiJinNanBei Dynasty, but as a whole the two herbs showed strong relationship. There were different features of compatibility of Paeony Root in different Dynansties. Paeony Root and Liquorice Root had close relationship in WeiJinNanBei Dynasty and Han Dynasty. There were close relationship among Paeony Root, Chinese Angelica and Ginseng in WeiJinNanBei Dynasty and SuiTang Dynasty .In addition, the author finds that firstly the distribution of Rhizome of Sichuan Lovage, Rehmannia Root and Paeony Root form a triangle from the compatibility relations of the 3 herbs, secondly the distribution of Chinese Angelica is in the triangle from Han Dynasty to SuiTang Dynasty, but the locations of it showed a little difference. It is believed thatChinese Angelica is the most representative herb in SiWu Decoction fromcompatibility.There is out of question that Chinese Angelica is the lord of SiWu Decoction.
