ObjectiveMahuang Shengma Decoction is one of the prescriptions contained in Treatise on Febrile Diseases.Since the etiology and pathogenesis of its syndromes are complex,difficult to identify,and the composition is complex,it has gone through thousands of years.Previous studies mostly refer to the works of Ming and Qing dynasties,and clinical reports are mostly limited to various experiences.This study aims to comprehensively and objectively understand the development and evolution law,treatment and prescription characteristics of Mahuang Shengma Decoction,and explore its more clinical application value by combing the relevant medical works and literature reports of Mahuang Shengma Decoction.MethodsThis study is mainly divided into two parts.The first part is the exploration of the origin and development of Mahuang Shengma Decoction,which is mainly divided into two parts: white text,annotation and journal literature.Through the comprehensive collection of literature on Mahuang Shengma Decoction in terms of theory,medical case,experimental research and clinical observation,a relatively complete and detailed research literature database is established to comprehensively sort out and summarize Mahuang Shengma Decoction.The second part is the summary of the experience of clinical application of Mahuang Shengma Decoction.This part is composed of two small parts.First,in the literature database established above,the experience of clinical application is classified.Secondly,by collecting and sorting out the medical records of patients who used Mahuang Shengma Decoction in the outpatient clinic of Professor Li Saimei in the South Building of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2016 to September 2020,this part of the medical records were sorted out,and typical cases were selected for medical record analysis,and the differentiation and treatment ideas and prescription characteristics of Professor Li Saimei’ s clinical application of Mahuang Shengma Decoction were summarized.Results1.Through the study of the white text,Mahuang Shengma Decoction in Sun Simiao Millennium wings before the white text works,does not belong to Jueyin disease.In the period of Meridians,the application of Mahuang Shengma Decoction was more based on the theory of Hua Tuo’ s six-part transmission.In the period of Minor formula,the degree of heat toxin after feeling exogenous pathogenic factors was used as the basis for prescription selection.In the period of Emergency thousands,the fever syndrome and blood syndrome after warm or exogenous pathogenic heat were used as the reference for prescription selection.Until Millennium wings,Mahuang Shengma Decoction was included in Jueyin disease,and through later generations of copy,continue to spread so far.2.In later annotations and journal literature,the controversy of Mahuang Shengma Decoction mainly lies in: whether Zhang Zhongjing original prescription.To date,the majority of medical scholars are positive.Although they expressed their views on the interpretation of the articles,most physicians believed that Mahuang Shengma Decoction had clinical value and was worth learning and inheriting.3.Mahuang Shengma Decoction is mainly used in the treatment of internal medicine diseases in clinic,focusing on respiratory,digestive,otolaryngology,autonomic nerve dysfunction and other aspects.There are also cases in psychiatry and pediatrics.By sorting out,it is found that the disease treated by Mahuang Shengma Decoction is mostly refractory,miscellaneous and critical.Especially in the epidemic of new coronavirus pneumonia in2020,the clinical manifestations of Mahuang Shengma Decoction syndrome and severe new coronavirus pneumonia are highly similar,which has high clinical reference and application value.4.By sorting out Professor Li Saimei’s outpatient medical records of Mahuang Shengma Decoction,it is found that Mahuang Shengma Decoction is mainly used to treat respiratory diseases or other diseases with cough.Syndrome differentiation belongs to the syndrome of mixed cold and heat,deficiency and excess.Professor Li Saimei believes that Mahuang Shengma Decoction has the effect of regulating immunity and reducing inflammatory storms.He mainly grasps three points in clinical application of Mahuang Shengma Decoction : First,cold and heat are mixed,especially lung heat and spleen cold.Second,pay attention to pulmonary qi stagnation;Third,evil enters from the surface,when it comes out from the surface.Prescription often to the original prescription,dialectical addition and subtraction of two or three flavors.ConclusionThe contents and basis of Meridians,Minor formula,Emergency thousands and Millennium wings are different,suggesting different options.This discovery enriches the connotation and application indications of Mahuang Shengma Decoction,and shows its clinical significance in accordance with the characteristics of the times.The disputes and understandings of Mahuang Shengma Decoction by later generations of physicians are different,but the vast majority of physicians believe that Mahuang Shengma Decoction is clinically proven.Therefore,Mahuang Shengma Decoction has been circulating for thousands of years and has its clinical value in different times.At present,it is mainly used in medical treatment,mainly in respiratory,digestive,otorhinolaryngology,especially in the severe patients with new coronavirus pneumonia in 2020.Mahuang Shengma Decoction has important clinical reference significance,and highlights its clinical value in the treatment of difficult and complex diseases and critical diseases in internal medicine.
