Objective:To observe the effects of accupuncture in JiaJi Points on the balance function of Patient withcerebral infarction.Method:Fourty -six patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Therewere 22 patients in treatment group and 24 in control group.Patients in the control groupwere treated with the routine acupuncture method, while those in the treatment groupreceived acupuncture JiaJi Points. All patients were assessed before and after the treatingperiod. The evaluating items included:(1) Assessment of balance function according to Berg balance scale;(2) Evaluation of the motor function of lower extremities according to Fugl-Meyer measurement;(3) Assessemnt of ability of daily life according to Barthel index scales.Results:(1)There is a significant improvement(p<0.01)of balance function, the motor function oflower extremities, ability of daily life both in the treatment group and the control groupbefore and after the treating period.(2)There is a significant difference(p<0.05)of balance funetion, the motor function of lowerextremities, ability of daily life between the treatment group and the control group after thetreatment.Conclusions:(1)The routine method of acupuncture and the method of acupuncture in JiaJi Points both canimprove balance function, the motor function of lower extremities, ability of daily life .(2) The method of acupuncture in JiaJi Points is better than the routine method ofacupuncture in improving balance function,the motor function of lower extremities andability of daily life .
