Clinical Study On Balance Acupuncture Combined With Jiaji Points In The Treatment Of Nerve Root Cervical Spondylosis

ObjectiveThis study is to observe the therapeutic effect of the treatment on balance acupuncture combined with Jiaji points by comparing with the Jiaji points combined with conventional acupoint.Aiming to explore a more effective method.MeathodsAll patients(n=60)were randomized into treatment group(n=30)and control group(n=30).The treatment group was given treatment on balance acupuncture combined with Jiaji points,while the control group was treated by Jiaji points combined with conventional acupoint.Both groups were treated every other day,three times a week,6 times for a period of treatment.McGill pain questionnaire before and after treatment,changes of cervical spondylosis symptom and signs of CSR and the overall efficacy had been analyzed.Results1.Baseline data and evaluation:two groups were comparable before treatment in general information(gender,age,syndromes)by rank-sum test and T test(P>0.05).2.Clinical curative effect evaluation:in the treatment group,a significant progress in 7 cases,effective in 20 cases and ineffectiveness in 2 cases,the total effective rate was 93.10%.While in the control group,a significant progress in 3 cases,effective in 20 cases and ineffectiveness in 7 cases,the total effective rate was 76.67%.By the Chi-square test,significant difference was found in two group(P<0.05).So we found that Balance acupuncture combined with Jiaji points group seems to be more effective in terms of improving the symptoms of CSR to the group of Jiaji points combined with conventional acupoint.3.Observing all evaluation in the McGill pain questionnaire the treatment between the two groups were comparable(P>0.05),within the group before and after treatment and after treatment,the comparison between the two groups are significantly different(P<0.05).Two groups are valid for treating nerve root cervical spondylosis,but Balance acupuncture combined with Jiaji points is more significant than the group of Jiaji points combined with conventional acupoint.4.Observing all evaluation in the 20 minutes of nerve-root type cervical spondylosis by scale(Tian Zhongjing long),between the two groups were comparable(P>0.05),within the group before and after treatment and after treatment,the comparison between the two groups are significantly different(P<0.05).Two groups have great improvement in the symptoms of CSR,signs of ability in life.But Balance acupuncture combined with Jiaji points is more significant than the group of Jiaji points combined with conventional acupoint.The other hand,there is no difference between two groups to improve hand function after treatment(P>0.05).ConclusionBalance acupuncture combined with Jiaji points and Jiaji points combined with conventional acupoint can improve the symptoms of CSR.In the improvement of pain relief,Balance acupuncture combined with Jiaji points group was significantly superior to Jiaji points combined with conventional acupoint group.For the improvement of signs,Balance acupuncture combined with Jiaji points group was more superior to Jiaji points combined with conventional acupoint group.The treatment on Balance acupuncture combined with Jiaji points of CSR is significantly superior to Jiaji points combined with conventional acupoint group.
