Objective:To observe the clinical therapeutic effect through the routine method of rehabilitation training combined pressuring the JiaJi points to improve trunk function after stroke.Methods:Sixteen patients randomly divided into two groups,treatment group and control group.There were 8 patients each group.Patients in the control group were treated with the routine rehabilitation training method,while those in the treatment group received the treatment of pressuring the JiaJi points in addition to the conventional therapy.All patients were assessed before and after training period.The evaluating items included(1) The Trunk Impairment Scale for the control function of the trunk.(2)Berg Balance Scale for balance function. (3)Barthel Index Scales for ability of daily life.Results:There is a significant improvement(P<0.01) of trunk function,balance function,ability of daily life both in the treatment group and the control group before and after training period.There is a significant difference(P<0.05) of trunk function,balance function,ability of daily life between the treatment group and the control group after treatment.Significant relationships were found among trunk function,balance function, ability of daily life(r=0.832-0.896,P<0.001).Conclusions:The routine method of rehabilitation training and the method combined pressuring the JiaJi points all can improve trunk function,balance function, ability of daily life.But the latter is better than the former. There were significant relationships among trunk function,balance function, ability of daily life of the stroke patients.It indicated that the improvement of trunk function is benefit to the balance function and ability of daily life of stroke patients.
