Objective:Based on the theory of "kidney is foundation of man" and "liver is also foundation of woman" in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), we bring forward the theory "treat Postmenopausal women with recurrent urinary tract infection(RUTI.) from the point of liver and kidney" to provide a guidance for clinical treatment.Method:Based on the literature of past,we discussed the theory "treat postmenopausal women with recurrent urinary tract infection(RUTI.) from the point of liver and kidney" and how to apply it to the clinical treatment.This dissertation contains two parts.The first one is literature about "Linzheng" in TCM,neoteric herbalist doctors' studies in the diagnoses and treatment in "Linzheng",and the mechanism of it in Western Medicine.The second one is to sum up the particular point of view in "Linzheng" of my own tutor.Analyse tke theory "treat Postmenopausal women with recurrent urinary tract infection(RUTI.) from the point of liver and kidney",and also analyse the experience of my tutor in treating this disease.Conclusion:Based on the particular theory we acquired satisfying result in clinical treatment,combined with the particular pathophysiological constitution of postmenopausal women:lower level of estrogen and immunity. We speculate this kind of herbal drugs could improve the immunity and affect the axes of hypothalamus- appendices- ovary.
