[Objective] To study the peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets in the state, as well as urine secretory immunoglobulin A(SIgA) levels in acute exacerbation and quiescent of recurrent urinary tract infection in order to investigate the relationship between repeated attacks in urinary tract infections and the immune status of the body as well as local immune status of urinary tract mucosa.[Methods] To select patients with acute exacerbation group and quiescent group of recurrent urinary tract infections of 30 cases each, 10 cases of normal healthy adults as normal controls. By using flow cytometry detect peripheral blood T-lymphocyte subsets CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+. By using radioimmunoassay detect urine secretory immunoglobulin A (SIgA). By using SPSS 11.5 statistics package to finish statistical analysis of data.[Results] There were no statistical significance in age research among the three groups. There were statistical significance in the research of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+ ratio and SIgA content in urine of acute exacerbation group and quiescent group compared with the control group(P <0.05). The peripheral blood CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+ ratio, and SIgA content in urine were lower in acute exacerbation group and quiescent group compared with the control group. The peripheral blood CD8+ was higher in acute exacerbation group and quiescent group compared with the control group. Changes of every indicators were significantly in acute exacerbation group compared with quiescent group (P <0.05).[Conclusion] The peripheral blood CD3+T lymphocytes,CD4+T lymphocytes,CD4+/CD8+ ratio, urinary secretory immunoglobulin A (SIgA) were lower and CD8+ T lymphocytes were higher in the patients of recurrent urinary tract infection. The imbalance of T-lymphocyte subsets and the reduction of urinary secretory immunoglobulin A (SIgA) were the important reasons for acute exacerbation of recurrent urinary tract infection. The peripheral blood CD3+T lymphocytes,CD4+T lymphocytes,CD4+/CD8+ ratio, urinary secretory immunoglobulin A (SIgA) were lower and CD8+ T lymphocytes were higher in acute exacerbation group and quiescent group of recurrent urinary tract infection compared with the control group ,which is an important reason for repeating attacks of recurrent urinary tract infection.
