Object:By observing the effect of the decoction of Psoralea corylifolia on bone metabolism and serum cytokines of ovariectomized osteoporotic rats, and discuss the mechanism of the water decoction of Malaytea Scurfpea Fruit's curing on bone metabolism. To discuss the laboratory studies evidence and anew study and differentiational thought. Methods:A total of 24 healthy, female,Wistar rats, with 4-months-old,were randomly divided into the sham operation(n=8),model(n=8),Malaytea Scurfpea Fruit(n=8) groups. After ablating bilateral ovarian in the model and malaytea scurfpea fruit groups, rats were administrated Fructus Psoraleae decoction,or physiological saline with 3g/kg per day,for 12 weeks,respectively.12 weeks later, bone mineral density was measured after rats were killed. blood serum was collected from abdominal aorta and to be used for various index detections. Results:Compared with the sham operation group, the levels of estrogen,1, 25-dihydroxyvitamin D3,as well as bone density in the model group were significantly decreased(P<0.01),but the tumor necrosis factor-α,and osteocalcin were obviously increased (P<0.05).Compared with the model group, level of estrogen in the Malaytea Scurfpea Fruit group maintained a low level, with the significantly higher levels of bone density,1, 25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 as well as osteocalcin(P<0.05-0.01),the level of tumor necrosis factor-αwas dramatically decreased(P<0.01).Conclusions:Malaytea Scurfpea Fruit decoction could promote the bone metabolism and cytokine in ovariectomized osteoporotic rats.
