Clinical Research On External High Frequency Thermotherapy Plus TCM Differentiation For Treating Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

BackgroundChinese medicine treatment for advanced lung cancer has unique advantages,Chinese medicine combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer,attenuated indeed played a synergistic effect. But simply relying on traditional Chinese medicine control tumor growth, stability,the strength of the tumor is still significantly weak,so the need for radiotherapy and chemotherapy in addition to other means of effective anti-tumor,with a view to a better kill tumor,and prolong survival of patients.In vitro high-frequency hyperthermia cancer therapy in recent years means the new hot spots,it is a great potential for the adjuvant treatment of cancer means.ObjectiveTo observe the efficacy of external high frequency thermotherapy combining TCM Differentiation and it can relieve the symptoms,improve quality of life and prolong the survival time of the patients,so it can provide a new management for NSCLC patients.MethodsThe study adoppted a prospective,small sample and randomized controlled method and divided the advanced non-small cell lung cancer patients into the combining therapeutic regimen group and TCM Differentiation regimen group according to table of random digit.The two groups were evaluated in the efficacy,survival time and quality of life after two cycles.ResultsSixty-six patients accomplished the study,There was little significant difference on sex,age,pathology and stage of the disease(P＞0.05).After the patients underwent different trentments,The response rate was 66.7 percent,the rate of focus stabilization was 88.9 percent,and 4 cases underwent progressive disease(11.1 percent),as the control group was 40 percent,73.3 percent,and 8 cases underwent progressive disease(1l.1 percent),There was significant difference according to statistical comparisons(P＜0.05),it suggests that the combining regimen has superiority on the response rate and the rate of focus stabilization.As to long-term efficacy,the median survival time(MST)of treatment group was 7.5 months,time to progress(TTP)was 5.5 months,and one-year survival rate were 21.4%;As far as the control group was concerned,the result was 6.0 months,4.5 months and 16.6 persent respectively.There was significant difference(P＜0.05)on MST,TTP and one-year survival rate;FLIC score,PS score(EC0G)and TCM symptoms points were compaired respectively after the treatment,the difference has Statistical significance (P＜0.05).The combining therapeutic regimen was superior for TCM differentiation treatment on improving quality of the patients' life.Conclusions(1)External high frequency thermotherapy combining TCM Differentiation can get synergistic efficacy,Compaired with control group,the therapy group obtained better result on total effective rate,Lesion stability rate,TTP and 1-year survival rate,etc.(2)The combining therapeutic regimen was better than TCM Differentiation regimen on relieving patients' symptoms,improving quality of life and prolonging the survival time.(3)The advanced non-small cell lung cancer patients were willing to receive the combining therapeutic regimen,The efficacy was significant and It can be applied in the clinical as a new therapeutic regimen.
