Clinical And Experimental Study Of Huoxuebushen Fang In The Treatment Of Avascular Necrosis Of The Femoral Head

Objective:To observe the curative effect of Huoxuebushen Fang for treatment of avascular necrosis of the femoral head(ANFH),and explore the mechanism in the effect of Huoxuebushen Fang and the mechanism of ANFH.Methods:In the clinical study, Huoxuebushen Fang was used in 22 cases of ANFH as the treated group compared with 21 cases treated by Jiangushengwan for curative effect observation.In the experimental study,24 New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into 4 groups: normal group, model group, control group and treated group.ANFH models were created in model group, control group and treatment group by injecting Equine Serum and Endocrine. The rabbits in control group were treated with Jiangushengwan and Huoxuebushen Fang was used in treated group. 8 weeks later, to determine the content of Bone gla protein (BGP),Hemorheology,Endothelin(ET),ThromboxaneA2(TXA2),Prostacyclin (PGI2),Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF). Then killed the rabbits and got the femoral head for optical microscope study. Results: In the clinical study,the clinical total curative effect in the treated group were superior to the control group,the function of the hip joints improved more obviously,and the pain symptom relieved more. The experimental study showed in the model group the necrosis of femoral head was obvious, the contents of BGP,PGI2 in plasma were apparently lower, the contents of ET,TXA2 in plasma were apparently higher,the contents of hemorheology were higher, the VEGF had lower expression.All the indices had obvious changes in the control group and the treated group. The changes of above indices except Hemorheology and VEGF had significant difference in the treated group and control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Through the clinical and experimental study, the curative effect of Huoxuebushen Fang of the treated group is better than that of the contrastive group. The mechanism may be related with increasing the level of BGP,PGI2 in plasma,decreasing the level of ET,TXA2 in plasma,reducing blood viscosity, strengthening the expression of VEGF.
