Clinical Research Of Shen Cao Overcast Care Lotion On Treating Vulvovaginal Candida Disease

Objective:vulvovaginal Candidasis is common disease of women, frequently-occurring disease,a recurring problem,a serious impact on women's mental and physical health.According to their clinical symptoms,the disease belong to Pruritus vulvae or Leukorrheal disease in traditional Chinese medical science,and is classfied syndrome of Dampness-heat diffusing downward.The study is to observe the clinical effect and the safety on Shen Cao overcast care lotion treating vulvovaginal Candidasis which is classfied syndrome of Dampness-heat diffusing downward and to provide scientific basis for Shen Cao overcast care lotion application in clinic.Methods:80 cases of patients were selected from Hubei Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital attending outpatient obstetrics and gynecology from June 2007 to December 2008.Chinese medicine in line with Syndrome of Dampness-heat diffusing downward,in line with the Western vulvovaginal candida disease diagnostic criteria, age 18-50 years old,sexual life history.They are divided into two groups(n=40 people) according to randomized,double-blind, parallel-positive drug control methods.The use of Shen Cao overcast care lotion is the treatment group,the use of lotion Jie Er Ying is the control group(The following Referred to treatment group and control group).Drug Usage:The patients of vulvovaginal Candidasis were told to use 5%Shen Cao overcast care lotion 1000ml(that is,take the medicine 50ml,add heating water to 1000ml and mix) bath,then use 10%Shen Cao overcast care lotion 200ml(that is,take the medicine 20ml,add heating water to 200ml and mix) washing the vagina,one day one time, treatment period is one week.(menstrual period stop medication).Three days later,all patients must review after they finished the treatment.By observing patients with symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine,gynecological check local signs, changes in vaginal secretions to determine the effect of clinical medicine.Through the observation of three conventional before and after treatment,electrocardiogram,liver and kidney function tests and to determine local changes in clinical medicine security.Results:1.The treatment of vulvovaginal candida disease:the efficiency of the treatment group is 82.5%;the inefficiency is 17.5%.the efficiency of control group is 77.5%,the inefficiency of control group is 22.5%.The clinical efficacy of two groups after statistical analysis has no statistically significant difference (P＜0.05).2.Two kind of medicines can significantly improve related clinical syndromes,local physical signs(P＜0.05).There is no difference between two kinds of medicines in improving some symptoms and local physical signs(P＞0.05).3.Course of disease and severity,vaginal cleanliness and other related factors have no significant effect on Shen Cao overcast care lotion treating clinical syndromes,local physical signs of vulvovaginal Candidasis4.Security Detected:there is no abnormal change by inspecting blood routine,urine routine,stool routine,ECG,liver function and kidney function before and after the treatment.No adverse events happen.So Shen Cao overcast care lotion is safe, effective and hasn't harmful reaction.Conclusion:Shen Cao overcast care lotion can treat effectively syndrome of Dampness-heat diffusing downward of vulvovaginal candida disease and can significantly improve clinical symptoms and local signs,clinical application of Shen Cao overcast care lotion is safe and effective,without adverse reaction.
