Objective:By clinical observation in comparison with 0.5% povidone iodine solution, preliminary study and evaluate the efficacy and safety of Kumei powder fumigation therapy in the treatment of interdigital tinea pedis, to provide a new therapy with drugs for the clinical treatment of interdigital tinea pedis.Methods:70 eligible patients were randomly divided into the treatment group (35 cases) and control group (35 cases) according to the registration order. The treatment group used Kumei powder fumigation treatment once a day,20 min every time, while the control group using 0.5% povidone iodine solution soaking treatment, once a day,20 min every time. Both groups 2 weeks for a course. The scores of both groups before treatment,at 7th day,14th day of the course and 4 weeks after the course were observed to determine the efficacy and safety of both therapy through clinical observation of indexes of the lesion area, impregnation, erosion, exudation and itching, as well as microscopic examination results for the etiological observation index. All dates were analyzed by SPSS21.0.Results:(1) 65 cases were completed,32 cases of treatment group and 33 cases of control group. The cure rate was 59.38% in the treatment group, with the healing rate 81.25%, the fungal clearance rate 81.25%, while in the control group, the cure rate was 51.52%, with the healing rate 69.70%, the fungal clearance rate 84.85%. There was no difference in comprehensive efficacy of both groups and mycology curative effect (Both P> 0.05).(2) At the 7th day of the course, the treatment group was better than the control group (P< 0.05) with the improvement of the lesion area, impregnation, exudation and itching degree.(3) At the 14th day of the course, the degree of the impregnation, exudation and itching in the treatment group was obviously improved compared with the control group (All P< 0.05), in which there was significant difference in the degree of the impregnation (P< 0.01).(4) There was no significant difference in the recurrence rate(P> 0.05) between the treatment group(10.53%) and the control group(17.65%).Conclusion:(1) This study confirmed that there was definitely curative effect of Kumei powder fumigation therapy in the treatment of interdigital tinea pedis.(2) Compared with 0.5% povidone iodine solution soaking therapy, Kumei powder fumigation therapy was better in the impregnation, exudation, itching degree, with rapid onset.(3) There was a better security in the course of the treatment of interdigital tinea pedis by Kumei powder fumigation therapy, without any obvious adverse reaction.
