Speciality:GynecoIogy of Traditional Chinese and Western MedicineAuthor.Guo HaiyanTutor:Proffesor Huang MinBackground:Dysmenorrhea is one of the most common gynecological disease.The incidence of Dysmenorrhea is not fixed by report,about 42%-90%.The incidence of severe Dysmenorrhea is 18%.The serious symptom of Dysmenorrhea can accompanied nausea and vomiting,cold sweat dripping,acrohypothermy,even apopsychia.There is bad influence on the work and living.It is extremely detrimental to women's physical and mental health.However,there is no satisfatory treatment.Western medicine major in reducing prostaglandin of menstrual blood and symptomatic treatment.Apply the prostaglandin inhibitors to reduce the production of prostaglandin.They treat the pain by prevention the incidence of too much or spasmodic uterine contraction.However,the effect is not lasting and curative.And there is problems of side effective in western medicine.Traditional medicine diagnose it from integer and to determine treatment based in pathogenesis obtained through differentiation of symptoms and signs.There is significant advantages and good prospects using traditional medicine to treat Dysmenorrhea.As we know,Dysmenorrhea is a long-term and easily recurring disease.Traditional medicine thought that Dysmenorrhea result in recepting cold in menstruation or post-natal,or eating too much cold and raw food,and ill for a long time can induce stagnant blood, so the type of cold coagulation and blood stasis is predominant in Dysmenorrhea.Objective:This investigation would evaluate the clinical availability and clinic safety of YiMuDangGuiSiNi Decoction to treat Dysmenorrhea(the type of cold coagulation and blood stasis),contrast with Ibuprofen Sustained Release Capsules.Methods:According to the diagnostic standard of western medicine about Dysmenorrhea,traditional medicine about Dysmenorrhea(the type of cold coagulation and blood stasis) and reserch into standard,we randomly divide 80 paitients of Dysmenorrhea whose age is from 12 to 49.5 in Nan Hai Maternal and Child Health Hospital(MCH)-based outpatient and inpatient in department of gynecology into two groups:reserch group and control group.The reserch group take 200 milliliter of the YiMuDangGuiSiNi Decoction on the first of the menstrual orally three days,one dose a Day and twice a Day,which is decocted and sealed in pharmacies of Nan Hai MCH.The patients in the control group take 0.3g of the Ibuprofen Sustained Release Capsules on the first day of menstrual once a day until the abdominal pain diappears.The two groups both take the medicine three menstrual cycles.The time of observation is three months.Through the efficacy of integrated syndrome and traditional medicine symptoms,and the improve of main symptoms and accompanied symptoms to appraise the condition,and make a clinical observation of two medicines refer to the result of laboratory examination,such as ESR.Result:The investigation manifest that there is statistic significance in total effective rate,healing rate between two medicine to improve the integrated syndrome and traditional medicine syndrome of Dysmenorrhea patients(the type of cold coagulation and blood stasis).The total effective rate of treating Dysmenorrhea in YiMuDangGuiSiNi Decoction and Ibuprofen Sustained Release Capsules is 95%and 70%respectively,the healing rate is 15%and 0%respectively.The total effective rate of improving traditional medicine syndrome is 92.5%and 72.5%respectively,the healing rate is 17.5%and 0%respectively.There is also statistic significance in the efficacy of abdominal pain and accompanied symptoms between two groups. Conclusion:YiMuDangGuiSiNi Decoction could eliminate the cold of meridian,promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis.There is better effect and cure to treat Dysmenorrhea(the type of cold coagulation and blood stasis),especially the improve of the abdominal pain and accompanied symptoms. It is a convenient and effective treatment programs that using YiMuDangGuiSiNi Decoction to treat the dysmenorrhea(the type of cold coagulation and blood stasis)for the women.
