The Investigation On Family History And TCM Physical Types Of Allergic Rhinitis

This investigation aimed to study the pathogenesis characteristics of allergic rhinitis(AR) by questionnaire,add the epidemiological data in South China,focus on analyzing AR family history characteristics,and make the preliminary survey on the distribution of the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) physical patterns of AR patients,to guide the primary prevention and the clinical treatment of AR.The survey on AR patients in Shenzhen found that patients complicated with other allergic diseases besides AR,such as bronchial asthma,allergic conjunctivitis,allergic dermatosis,had more positive rate of family history than the patients only complicated with AR.Moreover,the positive family history rate of the patients complicated with AR,bronchial asthma and allergic dermatosis simultaneously,was up to 69.4%.All the results suggested that idiosyncrasy individual inclined to be with idiosyncrasy syndrome.Therefore, on diagnose and treatment of the AR,we should put the sufficient attention on treatment of other allergic diseases.In the case-control study on the risk factors of disease,the multiple regression analysis about a variety of suspected risk factors came to the following conclusions:personal asthma history,personal allergic conjunctivitis history,asthma family history, AR family history,mothers suffering from AR or first-degree relatives with allergic diseases were the risk factors of AR,and the OR value of personal history of asthma was highest.This further demonstrated that AR and Asthma belonged to "the same airway,the same disease",suggesting that we should put a great attention on the diagnosis and treatment of CARAS.The survey results also found that the most common allergen inhalations in Shenzhen were dust mites and mycetes,the most common allergic food were fish,shrimp and crab.The distribution characteristics of AR associated with geographical region climate,indicating that we should often open windows,ventilate, change and dry clothes frequently.These are effective ways to avoid the onset of allergen-induced allergic diseases.In the survey on the TCM physical patterns of AR patients,the pattern of Deficient Qi was the most common TCM physical types of AR,followed by the patterns of Deficient Yang and Stagnant Qi.The proportion of the pattern of Stagnant Qi was given the great attention in clinical.The Innovations of this study were that this study was the epidemiological study of AR which took family history and allergy history as dominant state, and we also carried out the preliminary investigation on the distribution of TCM physical types.Previous studies were universal,and most of the studies considered the effect of various environmental factors.But We think only the investigation which combined the environmental factors and genetic factors could achieve the desired effect.Using the results of this survey to intervene the community groups play an important role in the first-degree prevention of AR.And the study showed the distribution characteristics of TCM physical patterns,suggesting that when we emphasized personalized medicine,we should also emphasize the application of the medical model of "identifying physical pattern-identifying disease-differentiating".In dealing with the allergic physical pattern,we should use the "preventative treatment of disease" measure to prevent and treat allergic diseases by regulating and controlling allergic physical pattern as a fundamental measure.That will have a profound impact on the prevention and treatment of allergic diseases.
