Background and Objective:It is the research focus that to alleviate the suffering of the patient in endoscopy to the medical staff of the digestive system.Painless endoscopy is the development trend. At present, medicinal anesthetics is the most way in painless endoscopy. As a result of some adverse reactions of narcotic drugs and anesthetic risks, making some people can not receive painless examination of Digestive Endoscopy. Therefore,it is the common goal that painless operation of the patient suffering to the doctor and patient. This study is to explore a new method on the process of the endoscopy to alleviate the patients' suffering. The new method is simple, efficacy, stability and to adapt to human self-regulation.Methods:1.General MaterialA total of 103 patients receiving enteroscopy from November 2008 to April 2009 in Guangdong Provincial TCM Hospital were randomly divided into two groups, general group and acupuncture anesthesia group. There are 52 cases in the general group, including 22 men and 30 women, the average age of 45.33±12.93 years old(ranged from 18 years old -74 years old). There are 51 cases in the acupuncture anesthesia group, including 23 men and 28 women, the average age of 44.10±14.21 years old(ranged from 15 years old -70 years old).2.Research MethodsThey receive the balance' s needle operations before the enteroscopy in acupuncture anesthesia group. There is no any intervention in general group. It is based on the patients' pain feeling and the operating time to assess efficacy. 3.Data processing and statistical analysisStatistical analyses were performed using the Statistical Package for Social software(SPSS 13.0 for Windows).Diferences with P<0.05 were considered significant.Result:1.There were no significant differences(p>0.05) of the gender, age, intestinal cleanliness between acupuncture anesthesia group and general group.2.In the general group, the average time of the operation was 11.71min.It was 25%without abdominal pain.In the acupuncture anesthesia group, the average time was 8.47 min.It was 68.6%without abdominal pain. There were significant differences between them(p<0.05).3.The total efficiency is 65.4%in general group,98%in acupuncture anesthesia group. There were significant differences between them(p<0.05).Conclusion:It is the first time to study the technology of balance' s acupuncture anesthesia application to improve the quality of endoscopy. As a result, the total efficiency is 98%in acupuncture anesthesia group. There were significant differences. We can conclude that it can shorten the operation time and alleviate pain after acupuncture anesthesia.Analgesic effect exists. But patients' other visceral sensory nerve symptoms(such as abdominal distension, etc.) had not been improved.
