With the development of the society, the vigorous development of vocational education becomes more and more important. However, there are some problems existing in the teaching of vocational education at present. For example, some students feel difficult or tire to study; and the quality of teaching is difficult to adapt to the needs of the economic construction and social development. Now, the Project Teaching Method based on the theory of multiple intelligences and the construction principle has formed a relatively complete theoretical system. The theory has been applied to teaching the TCM major of secondary vocational school, which proves that it not only can effectively solve the problems in the teaching process, but can enhance the overall quality of students.According to the training objectives of the TCM major of secondary vocational school, the author analyses the current situation of the quality of students and the shortcomings of traditional teaching methods, elaborates the reasons of application of the project teaching method in this major, as well ai discusses the project design of all aspects of the teaching process. Moreover, its application has been explored through the teaching practice in the past year, and its important function in raising the students' professional ability and overall quality has been summarized, which provides a workable approach "mode" for the school to use the method.In this article, the accthor illustrates that it is blind for selecting project unless it is based on the analysis of the work task, and the selecting of knowledge and skills of the project content should base on this. During the project design and implementation, it is necessary to create working's context and base on the students practical ability the understanding and application of .So that studentss can enhance the understanding and application of professional knowledge and skills in the course, and improve their vacational ability an well.
