The Construction Of Curriculum Project For Career-oriented Education Of Field Internal Medicine

Modern wars show increasing demands of military medical research, which provides us with many new subjects to study and new tasks to cope with. The military reform in our country is in great need of the further study on field internal medicine. We should emphasize on the training of field internal medicine and broaden our mind by combining the curriculum construction with the practical situation of the units, so as to adapt to the complicated situation of military opposition. Based on the challenge of revolution in military affairs we are facing in the world, emphasizing on the demand of health service in future information war and functional transformation of education provided by military medical universities, the real requirements of field internal medicine in forces were clarified by literature analysis and practical investigation on the developing trend home and abroad. This led to the establishment of the guiding principles of the curriculum design project. Then, a set of curriculum of field internal medicine was designed and proved to be feasible and reasonable. This paper consists of the following four parts:Part 1 Theoretical BasisThe background of the research was systematically analyzed, the connotation of the related concepts was defined, and the content, methods, goal and procedures of the study were drafted based on the theories of curriculum design and modern education.Part 2 Current Research on Field Internal MedicineThe content, status quo and developing trend of field internal medicine were fully discussed through literature analysis.Part 3 Method, Results and AnalysisThe fundamental requirements of field internal medicine by our forces were illustrated through both literature analysis and practical surveys on the basis of an all-round study on the development of the disciplinary.Part 4 Final Construction of the Curriculum Project The guiding principles of reform were decided and the objective of the curriculum of field internal medicine was set on the former discussed basis. The curriculum project of field internal medicine in military medical universities was primarily constructed. The project was revised and amended for better feasibility.The research is aiming at providing a scientific and applicable set of curriculum for the career-oriented education of field internal medicine in military medical universities in our forces. It also brings a novel mode to the related curriculum design and becomes both a reference to and an evidence for the decision-making of administrators.
