Clinical nutrition nursing is a course that nurses put forward the nursing diagnoses and nursing measures to handle the potential or extant problems on nutrition of patients. Clinical nutrition nursing integrated health prevention, protection and restoration. It is an important part of holistic nursing. Clinical nutrition nursing could improve patients' nutrition status, prevent the incidence of malnutrition, promote the recovery of disease, save medical expenses and enhance satisfaction of patients. It is very important that nurses enhance their ability of clinical nutrition care.This research surveyed the status of knowledge, attitude and practice of clinical nutrition for nurses of third-grade general hospitals. In order to improve the ability of clinical nutrition nursing, we also offered the feasible and superior suggestion and put forward the key emphasis in practice and education, All these supplied the theoretical basis for the behavior intervention of the next step.1 Purpose of the research(1)Survey the status of knowledge, attitude and practice of clinical nutrition for nurses in medical and surgical areas in third-grade general hospitals in Changchun.(2)Discuss the measures of improving the status of nutrition knowledge, attitude and practice of nursing staff in post, enhance the quality of nursing service.(3)Make recommendations for nursing curricula in undergraduate students in medical college, promote the sustainable development of nursing.2 Research methodA self-made questionnaire was used to survey the clinical nutrition nursing ability for nurses of medical/surgical area of third-grade general hospitals in Changchun. A descriptive cross-sectional design was used to determine nutritional knowledge, attitude and practice of nursing staff.3 ResultsThere are 352 nurses involved in this research. The average age of respondents was 27.18 years old. Low knowledge scores were reported in this study. Older nurses with more experience, and nurses who held a Diploma/General Nurse training had better scores in nutrition knowledge, attitude, and practice than nurses who were younger, less experience and haven't got the diploma.With one-way ANOVA, the scores of the nutrition knowledge was different in age,length of service as a nurse,degree of education,professional ranks,and establishment. The scores of the nutrition attitude was different in age, degree of education,professional ranks, and establishment. The scores of the nutrition practice was different in the degree of education, professional ranks, and establishment.With multiple linear regression,the factors that influence the score of nutrition knowledge were the degree of education and length of service as a nurse.The factors that influence the scores of nutrition attitude were the scores of nutrition knowledge and age of the nurse. The factors that influence the scores of nutrition practice were the scores of nutrition knowledge,the scores of nutrition attitude and the establishment.4 Recommendations(1) Strengthen the clinical nutrition learning in school(2) Strengthen continuing education programs on clinical nutrition(3) Introduce the PBL into the clinical nutrition learning(4) Build nutrition nurses professional team5 Conclusions(1) The knowledge of clinical nutrition for nurses was insufficient.(2) The main route of obtaining nutrition knowledge was school training; nurses had little chance to get continuing education.(3) Nurses were interested in nursing on clinical nutrition.(4) The behavior of nurses on clinical nutrition should be improved.(5) Nurses'knowledge,attitude and practice of clinical nutrition were affected by many factors.
