BackgroundChina has entered an aging society. According to the literature, the potential malnutrition rate of Chinese hospitalized elderly was 46.5%, and the prevalence of malnutrition was as high as 36.1%. The incidence of lumbar spinal stenosis were increased gradually, and mostly in the elderly, surgery is the preferred treatment, but a series of problems caused by surgical treatment can not be ignored. The elderly due to slow metabolism, postoperative bed time is long, while combined with a variety of other basic chronic diseases, so that digestion and absorption function is affected, malnutrition and poor prognosis is a common problem. These problems affect the healing of incision and improve the perioperative nutritional status is the key to the success of the operation. Perioperative nutritional care, the main goal is to promote postoperative rehabilitation, improve the nutritional status of patients, thereby changing the clinical outcome. Reasonable individualized nutrition care is particularly important.ObjectiveThis research aims to explore the effect of personalized nutrition nursing on elderly lumbar spinal stenosis patients' postoperative wound healing, which could offer references for improving the clinical nursing quality.Methods120 human spinal stenosis patient(age?60)are being selected to join this research form January 2015 to September2016.In addition, all the patients accept the nutrition assessment by NRS2002 before Posterior lumbar spinal decompression and pedicle screw fixation under general anesthesia operation. The patients are being separated into two groups in freedom. Group one accepts the personalized nutrition nursing and group two accept the natural nutrition nursing. After that we compare the patients' incision healing time, the variation of the laboratory's biochemical criterion, and the operative complication morbidity rate. Finally we assess the impact of personalized nutrition nursing for these patients.1. All the patients will accept the nutrition assessment by NRS2002 before the operation.NRS2002<3 reveal no nutritional risk and NRS2002>3revealed risk.2. The pre-albumin, total protein, albumen, and retinol conjugated protein value of the patients will be monitor and record on the day of surgery, the day after surgery, the fifth day after surgery, and the tenth day after surgery.3. Observe and analyze the patients' incision healing time, ambulation time, and the time of hospitalization.4. Monitor and record the complications of two groups.5. The SPSS 17.0 will be utilized to conduct the statistical analysis. The data will be test by Variance test. The patients'general condition, nutrition change, and effect after surgey and the others will analyzed by t test. The patients' infection of incisional wound and postoperative complications will be analyzed by x2 test. If P<0.05, the significant difference will be supported.Results1. The patients' total protein and albumen number reduce after the surgery. However, the treatment group's total protein and albumen number increase because of the personalized nutrition nursing.2. There are significantly difference between the two groups' incision healing time, ambulation time, and the time of hospitalization (P<0.05). The incision healing time of treatment group (9.65d) is significantly shorter than control group (13.8d).3. The hypothesis is accepted (P<0.05). The surgical incision infection rate and vertebra interval infection rate of treatment group (1.67%; 1.67%) is significantly lower than control group (13.34%; 15.00%). In addition, the nausea and vomiting rate of the treatment group (11%) is significantly lower than control group (8.3%).4. There are significant difference in postoperative flatus and bowel moveme-nt time between the control group and the compare group (P<0.05). The compare group's postoperative flatus and bowel movement time (22.2 hours,12.5 hours) is lower than the control group (24.1 hours,15.6 hours).ConclusionThe personalized nutrition nursing on elderly lumbar spinal stenosis patients' could shorten the incision healing time, reduce the complication rate, and lessen the hospitalization time.
