Research On Chinese Medicine Syndrome Of Intermittent Headache With The Relationship Of Platelet 5-Hydroxytryptamine

Intermittent headache is the equivalent of Western migraine,tension-type headache and cluster headache,for the main symptoms of chronic recurrent headache.Every year lots of people suffer of this disease,but modern medical treatment of this disease has limited means but higher cost.So in recent years, there are a lot of researchs performed to observe on chinese medicine syndrome of intermittent headache.It is generally considered that,pathogenesis of migraine are neurovascular theory and inhibiting the proliferation of cortex related hypothesis,pathogenesis of tension-type headache are neurogenic factors or myogenic factors.Platelet 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)is the core areas of the migraine and tension-type headache pathogenesis.Methods and objectives1.Clinical study:199 Intermittent headache patients were divided into 4 groups:Feng-Huo Syndrome,Feng-Tan Syndrome,Feng-Yu Syndrome and Zheng-Xu Syndrome.Design a information-collection table according to the epidemiologic data.Collect the information Of the average state and the information procured from physical examinations of each group.And produce the data-base to analyse the primary chinese medicine syndrome in the disease of intermittent headache.At the same time discuss the state of distribution of the syndrome in the disease of intermittent headache.This study was performed to observe the differences of each chinese medicine syndrome group,to research the state of distribution of the chinese medicine syndrome in the disease of intermittent headache.And it will offer more clinical evidence for the traditional medicine prediction and treatment in intermittent headache,.In order to offering a basical date for perform a diagnostic guide.2.Experimental Study:51 Toufeng patients were divided into 4 groups, use high-performance liquid chromatography method,to mesure the platelet 5-HT level of each group.Then produce the data-base,at the same time analyse and discuss.This study was performed to observe the relationship between platelet 5-HT and each chinese medicine syndrome,and between the spacing group and the attacking group.Results1.Clinical study:(1)Feng-Huo group has 73 patients(36.7%)was the main type of all chinese medicine syndromes,Feng-Yu group was the second(26.6%), Zheng-Xu group was the third(22.1%),Feng-Tan group was the forth(14.6%).(2) Each group sex,age,duration comparisons showed no significant difference(P＞0.05).(3)Each group headache extent and duration were significant differences in comparison(P＜0.05).Feng-Huo group and the other group headache duration were significant differences in comparison (p＜0.05),Feng-Yu group and Zheng-Xu group headache duration were significant differences in comparison(p＜0.05),Feng-Tan group compare with Feng-Huo and Feng-Yu group has significant differences with headache extent (p＜0.05),Zheng-Xu group and Feng-Huo group headache extent were significant differences in comparison(p＜0.05).(4)Yu was positively correlated with the Feng-Huo group(p＜0.05),Xue-yu and Qi-Xu was positively correlated with the Feng-Tan group(p＜0.05),Tan and Xue-Xu was positively correlated with the Feng-Yu group(p＜0.05),Tan was positively correlated with the Zheng-Xu group (p＜0.05).2.Experimental Study:(1)The average of the platelet 5-HT level is 169.00±183.50ng/ml.The platelet 5-HT levels of each chinese medicine syndrome groups have no statistically differences(P＞0.05).But there are differences of the mean of each group,the mean of Zheng-Xu is the highest,Feng-Yu is the second,Feng-Huo is the third,Feng-Tan is the lowest.(2)When we divided the 51 Toufeng patients into 2 groups,spacing group and attacking group.There are also no statistically differences between each group(P＞0.05).But the platelet 5-HT levels of spacing group are higher than the attacking group.Conclution1.Intermittent headache is more concentrated in the age of 40,many of the women.Feng-Huo Syndrome is the main type of all chinese medicine syndromes of these people.2.Feng-Huo Syndrome has most intense headach in four Syndrome,Feng-Yu Syndrome has more intense headach than Zheng-Xu Syndrome,Feng-Tan Syndrome headach lasted longest in four Syndrome,Zheng-Xu Syndrome headach lasted longer than Feng-Huo Syndrome.3.Feng-Huo Syndrome was inclusion of factors Yu pathogens,Feng-Tan Syndrome was inclusion of factors Xue-Yu and Qi-Xu pathogens,Feng-Yu Syndrome was inclusion of factors Tan and Xue-Xu pathogens,Zheng-Xu Syndrome was inclusion of factors Tan pathogens.4.There are no statistically differences of platelet 5-HT levels between each groups.But the means of platelet 5-HT levels are different in each group. Zhengxu is the highest,Fengyu is the second,Fenghuo is the third,Fengtan is the lowest.Spacing group are higher than the attacking group.
