With the further opening of the health care market and the deepening of the health care system reform, hospitals, the originally pure welfare state-owned organizations, have been gradually pushed to the market. Hospitals begin to face more complex and changeable economic, social, political, scientific, legal and ethic environment. In order to survive and develop, hospitals have to soberly obtain the comprehensive knowledge of their own advantages and disadvantages, and chances and challenges. Strategic management thinking should be used to manage hospitals.The thesis, according to the concrete condition of XB hospital, tries to use SWOT Matrix in a comparatively thorough analysis of opportunity and threat faced in aspects of politics, economy, society, culture, population, environment, laws and technologies, simultaneously, strength and weakness in aspects of the hospital's own quality, marketing ability, financial administration, organization, management information system, etc., and finally, makes a feasible strategic scheme which benefits development of the XB Hospital. Give suggestion to help XB Hospital establish the long-term competition advantage, ensuring its further development. To the concrete methods, the paper focuses on the specific tactics, such as the leading bodies reform, rear service socialization reform, personnel system reform, establishment of service system etc. We divide the whole paper into 7 parts. Part one, put forward the background, the purpose and meaning, the structure and means of this research; Part two, review the strategy management theory and research methord using in this text; Part three, the outer environment of the hospital is analyzed to find out the opportunity and threats; Part four, the inner conditions of the hospital is analyzed as to make certain the strength and weakness of itself; Part five, the developing strategy is made on the basis of SWOT analysis; Part six, the concrete implement scheme is discussed.; Part seven, conclusion.This paper is the combination of the theories and practice. Its content draws materials in the truth in management and administration of the XB Hospital. This study can be a guiding for the XB hospital management, and has realistic sense for the XB hospital facing marketing competitive. Some strategic analytical methods and strategic management theory and thinking involved in the article can provide certain guidance and reference function to the strategic management of other hospitals.
