With the further opening of the health care market and the deepening of the health care system reform, hospitals, the originally pure welfare state-owned organizations, have been gradually pushed to the market. Hospitals begin to face more complex and changeable economic, social, scientific, regulatory and ethic environment. In order to survive and develop, hospitals have to soberly obtain the comprehensive knowledge of their own advantages and disadvantages, and chances and challenges. Stragegic management thinking should be used to manage hospitals. Especially for the enterprise hospitals, with the comparative inferior technique and facility, the most urgent question they are facing is how to design suitable development strategy. Thispaper has five chapters. With an attitude of learning, using for reference, absorbing and making innovation, the author studied and competitive advantages of Huanghai Rubber Group Hospital and made analysis of the suitable strategy to help it to establish ling-term competitiveness. In this paper, the autor used EFE Matrix, IFE Matrix and Competitiveness Matrix to make a deep the thotough analysis of the economic, social, cultural, population, environmental, political, regulatory and technical chances and threats faced by the hospital and the hospital's advantages and disadvantages on its making, marketing capacity, financial management, organization, information management system. At the same time, the author also evaluated and matched the critical external factors and internal factors influencing the development of the hospital by using SWOT Matrix, Big Strategy Matrix, etc., and finally made a practical strategic plan for the development of the Huanghai hospital. This paper is a product of the theories and practices. It has great practical significance to the research on the strategic development of the Huanghai Hospital in market competition. The study can be some sort of guidance to the management of the hospital. Some methods of strategic analysis used in the study can also be applied to and taken reference by the other hospitals as well.
