Correlative Study On The Level Of Resistin And Phlegm-heat Syndrome In Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

ObjectiveTo analyze the relationship between the level of blood resistin,body mass index,waist circumference,fast blood glucose,fast blood insulin, C peps,total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),insulin resistance index and Phlegm-heat Syndrome in type 2 diabetes mellitus;to investigate the correlation on the level of blood resistin and other index;in order to observe the feature of the Phlegm-heat Syndrome in type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods48 cases of T2DM were differentiated into two groups:Phlegm-heat Syndrome and Non-phlegm-heat Syndrome according to symptom,Pulse tracings and tongue demonstration.There are 25 cases in the Phlegm-heat Syndrome while 23 cases in Non-phlegm-heat Syndrome.select 20 healthy person as control group.Carry out examination of body mass index,waist circumference,blood glucose,fast blood insulin,total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG)insulin resistance index. Compare all the indexes in three groups.Analysis the dependability between blood resistin and other indexes and find out the relativity between blood resistin and Phlegm-heat Syndrome.Results:1.Both two groups of T2DM had higher level of resistin compared with the control group(P＜0.05).2.The T2DM with Phlegm-heat Syndrome had a higher levels of BMI,WC,TC, FINS,HOMA-IR and blood resistin compared with those with Non-phlegm-heat Syndrome(P＜0.05).3.The T2DM with Phlegm-heat Syndrome had a higher levels of BMI,WC,TC,TG, FPG,FINS,C-peps,HOMA-IR and blood resistin compared with control group (P＜0.05). 4.The T2DM with Non-phlegm-heat Syndrome had a higher levels of WC,TC,TG, FPG,HOMA-IR and blood resistin compared with control group(P＜0.05).5.The level of blood resistin in T2DM was positively correlated with the levels of WC(r=0.316,P=0.014),HOMA-IR(r=0.291,P=0.023).6.The level of blood resistin in T2DM with Phlegm-heat Syndrome was positively correlated with the levels of WC(r=0.398,P=0.039),FINS(r =0.478,P=0.016),HOMA-IR(r=0.441,P=0.027).Conclusions:In this study,we found that there was a high level of blood resistin in T2DM patients.The level of blood resisitin was positively related to T2DM and insulin resistant.In T2DM group,resistin was correlated with the levels of WC,HOMA-IR.In phlegm-heat group,resistin was correlated with the levels of WC,FINS,HOMA-IR.Under the condition of phlegm-heat,resisitin may have greater effection on FINS.The level of blood resistin in phlegm-heat group was higher than those with non-phlegm-heat Syndrome.So the level of blood can reflect the condition of phlegm-heat.Fat,high level of blood insulin,TC,insulin resistant,blood resisitin were the feature of Phlegm-heat syndrome,If we chang the condition of phlegm-heat,we can have a good therapeutic effect on obesity and insulin rensistant.
