| Objective: To obseerve the therapeutic effect and ill effect of HuoXueBuSui Tang in treating glucoticorticoid-induced avascular necrosis of the femoral head,andto investigate its possible mechanism.Methods:All 43 cases those were collected from orthopaedic department of Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of TCM were randomly divided into two groupes including treated groupe 23 cases and contrastive groupe 20 cases.HuoXueBuSui Tang was used in treated groupe, JianGuSheng Pill was used in contrastive groupe.Results: There are quite difference in comparison with pretreatment and post-treatment in treated groupe and contrastive groupe and the effect is best in treated groupe than contrastive groupe.Conclusion:Through the Clinical study, The effect of the treated group was better than that of the contrastive group. The mechanism might be related with its actions of melioration of hemodynamics and mircocirculation, ameliorating the disturbance of metabolism offattiness, regulating metabolism of calcium and phosphor, accelerating the growth of chicken embryo in cuvette.
