Objective: To study the therapeutic effect and mechanism of post-trans-vertebral plate interspace operation under microscopy combined with sodium hyaluronate and corson during lumbar disc protrusion. Methods: 112 patients with lumbar disc protrusion who performed with post-trans-vertebral plate interspace operation under microscopy were included in this study. All patients were randanmized as theraputic group I, theraputic group 11(29 cases), theraputic group III( 27 cases) and normal contrals. Group I treated with sodium hyaluronate and corson during lumbar disc protrusion after post-trans-vertebral plate interspace operation under microscopy, Group II treated with sodium hyaluronate after operation, Group III treated with corson after operation and normal contal only performed with surgical operation. Patients syptoms were scored both pre and post therapy and therapeutic effect were assessed after 4 months post-treatment. Results: 1) No statistical differences showed among 3 theraputic groups but showed between theraputic group an normal contrals; 2) There are statistical differences in all groups when compared with their pre-treatment conditions and theraputic groups were well scored compared with normal contrals. 3) No adverse effects occurred in all groups. Conclusions Post-trans-vertebral plate interspace operation under microscopy combined with sodium hyaluronate and corson plays the synergistic reaction after surgical treatment of lumbar disc protrusion, and solo applyment of sodium hyaluronate or corson also partly make the effect after surgery.
