ObjectiveTo summarize the recognition and investigation progress of Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Protrusion on traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine; to explore the effect of utilizing Lumbar Traction Combined with Percutaneous Laser disc-decompression on curing the Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Protrusion. MethodsAfter consulting a number of literatures in internal or abroad database, summarize the pathogenesy of lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion and the current measures to cure it. Through retrospective investigation, overview 40 patients who suffer lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion .After the operation of PLDD , these 40 patients get the lumbar traction therapy. Detect the total curative effect immediately .Then detect the effect again in 4 months and 1 year. Detect the improvement rate, and observe the clinic curative effect and follow up the long-term curative effect.ResultsGuiding by the theory of orthopaedics and tranmstology of TCM ,do clinical curative effect observation of Percutaneous Laser disc-decompression Combined with Lumbar Traction on curing the Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Protrusion. After rechecking the 40 patients who have received the therapy of PLDD and lumbar traction 4 months and 1 year later .And we find the curative effect shows very well.ConclusionsPercutaneous Laser disc decompression Combined with Lumbar Traction on curing the Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Protrusion gets very good effect ,and it could help decrease the low-back pain of patients and improve their quality of life and their body function. For its convenience, easy utilization, cheapness, surely good effect ,little side-effect, big safety factor ,there are favourable application outlook of it.
