| Objective: To evaluate the effect and broden the methods of postmenopausal stable angina pectoris treartment to Guide Clinical medication through the clinical observation of tiaobu chongren decoction. At the same time, to study the mechanism by the measurements of estradiol. Method: 60 cases were randomized as treatment group (30 cases) in which a basic western medicine combined with tiaobu chongren were applied, and controls (30 cases) which a basic western medicine were given. All the patients were observed for 3 months, and their blood levels of estradiol (E2) were determined before and after treatment. Results: 1) After treatment, the clinical symptoms were improved in all cases (P<0.01); 2) The differences of total effective rates of ECG between two groups were not statistically significant. (P>0.05)3.It was significantly superior in tiaobu chongren group than in control group, which angina attack, carbonite tablet wasted were mended. (P<0.05) 4.The serum concentration of estradiol (E2) was higher after treatment than before in tiaobu chongren group, (P<0.05) but not higher in control group. (P>0.05). Conclusion: As compared with the therapeutic effect of control group, Using tiaobu chongren in treating postmenopausal stable angina displayed significant adjustment on improvement of estra-diol (E2)and clinical manifestations.
