Study And Expression Of Serum Soluable Intercellur Adhension Molecule-1 In Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

Objective:To investigate plasma soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1(sICAM-1)concentration in women with polycystic ovary syndrome(pcos)and their clinic significance.Methods:Selecting 41 patients with pcos and 39 healthy women from Department of Gynaecology of the first affiliated hospital of Guangxi Medical University during the period from June 2005 to June 2006 at random.Taking the 41 patients with pcos as study group.The 39 healthy women were control group.The age,weight and height of two groups have no significant deviation(P＞0.05).Blood samples of study objects were collecting at the fasting state at early morning 8:00～9:00,and were collecting from the third to the fifth menstruation(namenorrhea no limit)。Measuring height,weight, Waist circumference(WC),hip circumference,and caculating body mass index(BMI),waist-to-hipratio(WHR).The level of foiliclestimulating hormone(FSH),prolactin(PRL),luteinizing hormone(LH),estrodio(E₂), and testosterone(Testo)in serum in 41 patients with pcos and in 39 healthy persons were measured by automation chemo_inmunity luminescent technique.The level of sICAM-1 in serum in 41 patients with pcos and in 39 healthy persons were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELASA).The possible relationship between sICAM-1 and clinical materials were analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis.Result:1.The sICAM-1level in women with PCOS was higher than of healthy persons(P＜0.05).2.The level of sICAM-1 in serum inwomen with PCOS with BMI≥25 kg/m² was higher than of women with BMI＜25 kg/m²(P＜0.05).3.The level of sICAM-1 in serum in women with PCOS with WHR≥0.8 was higher than of women with WHR＜0.8(P＜0.05).4.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the level sICAM-1 in women with pcos correlated positively with grupe,age, BMI,and WHR but correlated inversely with E₂.。Conclusion:sICAM-1 was prossibly assoeiatied with PCOS.The sICAM-1 level correlated positively with the age,WHR and BMI.To hint:PCOS was prossibly associatied with cardiovascular disease. Along with age in patients in polycystic ovarian syndrome increasing gradually,cardiovascular disease chanciness was increasing especially in BMI≥25 kg/m²,WHR≥0.8.
