Research On Evaluation And Cultivation Of Competitiveness Of SXS Hospital

For a long time, hospitals of China have been under the jurisdiction of the Government, which lead to the phenomenon that most hospitals are public ones. With the development of social economy and continuous opening up of medical industry, the competition in medical market becomes more and more fierce. Therefore, it has been an important task for public hospitals to improve their competitiveness.Adopting research methods of strategic management, statistical analysis, and systematic analysis, etc. and guided by theories of competitiveness, innovation, theory of learning organization, and relevant theories concerning hospital competitiveness, the paper compares and evaluates competitiveness of four big and comprehensive public hospitals through building a system for evaluating competitiveness of hospitals. Firstly, establish the hospital competitiveness evaluating system, weigh the indexes, collect index data, and dispose the index data by standard, and then compare and evaluate the competitiveness of the four hospitals with standardized data. Secondly, by analyzing the distance of competitiveness between the Hospital and the other three hospitals, SXS Hospital is found to have weaker competitiveness in resources and process. Through further analyzing the deep reasons of the disparities, the factors which restrict the competitiveness of the Hospital are technology, management, quality of personnel, and cultural construction etc. Lastly, aim at these restricting factors, put forward approaches to cultivate competitiveness of the Hospital, including intensifying technology, impelling management, improving qualities of personnel, and emphasizing cultural construction. Besides, put forward exterior conditions to support the competitiveness of the Hospital, including reform on medical system and mechanism construction of the Hospital under such preconditions.Through research on evaluation and cultivation of hospital competitiveness, the paper not only exerts a guiding meaning on the managing work hereafter, but helps managing other big comprehensive public hospitals.
