The Study Of Family Factor Influence Mental Health, Coping Style And Esteem Of The Medical Freshmen

Objective:In order to know the medical university students' basic condition about mental health, copying style and esteem. So we can further research on internal and external family factors' influence on mental health, copying style and esteem, which can offer evidence for healthy education as well as make new way for psychology consultation on campus.Methods:Using EMBU, Copying Style, SCL-90, SES and FES-CV to test 655 medical students. Applying SPSS11.0 to deal with database with methods of t test, description, linear relation, the one-way ANOVA analysis, factor analysis, multiple linear regression.Conclusion:Mental health of medical university students was not very good, especially on. Obsessive-Compulsive,Interpersonalsensitivity, Photic anxiety,Psychoticism.For their mental health, the external family factor including only children or not factor and the internal family factor including parents' denial, family activity and family atmosphere and so on are main influence factor, meanwhile ,only children or not factor also can influence some internal factors. For students' positive copying style ,the important family factor are father' education, family activity, mother' denial and so on, furthermore external family factor and internal family factors have mutual influence. For negative copying style, the main family factors are father' occupation, family activity, family atmosphere, family order and so on, and these factors have no mutual effect. For esteem, the main family factors are family order, mother' denial, family dependence, only children or not, mother' education and occupation, among them, only children or not factor has interrelation with some internal family factors.
