Objective: As a rare high-level talent in China,medical postgraduates shoulder the important task of promoting the development of China’s medical and health undertakings.Only by ensuring the healthy development of both physical and mental aspects of postgraduates,can we lay a good foundation for the realization of China’s medical and health index plans.In recent years,there have been news reports of Postgraduates dropping out,weariness,collapse,suicide and self mutilation under various pressures In the past,the investigation on the mental health of graduate students also shows that the mental health of graduate students can not be ignored,and we must pay more attention to it.To sum up,this survey is to investigate the mental health level and mental stress status of Postgraduates in medical colleges and universities,find out the main sources of mental stress,and explore the role of different coping styles in mental stress and mental health status,so as to provide basis and suggestions for the mental health management of Postgraduates in relevant departments of colleges and universities.Methods: Questionnaire survey was conducted among 2017,2018,2019 and 2020 graduate students in a medical university in Southwest China.After data collection,SPSS 22.0 statistical software was used for statistical description,nonparametric rank sum test,difference test,binary logistic regression analysis and intermediary effect test.The test level wasα = 0.05.Results: The scores of psychological stressors from high to low were academic,employment prospect,economy,interpersonal communication,family relationship,love and marriage,etc.The results showed that the academic pressure of female postgraduates was significantly higher than that of male postgraduates;the full-time postgraduates were significantly higher than that of part-time postgraduates in employment and Prospect,economy,love and marriage The academic and economic pressure of professional postgraduates is significantly higher than that of academic postgraduates;the academic and economic pressure of medical postgraduates is higher than that of non-medical postgraduates.The results show that the score of female’s negative coping style is significantly higher than that of male;the score of academic Postgraduates’ positive coping style is significantly higher than that of professional postgraduates,while the score of professional Postgraduates’ negative coping style is significantly higher They are more academic.The results of SCL-90 showed that a total of 366(27.3%)could be regarded as having low level of mental health and psychological problems.The depression score of female postgraduates was higher than that of male postgraduates;the scores of somatization and psychosis of non-medical postgraduates were significantly higher than that of medical postgraduates.The results show that the higher the academic pressure,interpersonal pressure and economic pressure,the more likely they are to detect the low level of mental health;compared with professional degree,academic degree postgraduates are more likely to detect the low level of mental health;the higher the grade,the more likely they are to have psychological problems.The results showed that negative coping style played a partial mediating role in the influence of academic stress on the mental health level of postgraduates,and the mediating effect accounted for 30.8% of the total effect;positive and negative coping styles played a partial mediating role in the influence of interpersonal stress on the mental health level of postgraduates,and the proportion of positive coping style and negative coping style accounted for 4.1% and 28.4% of the total effect,respectively;positive and negative coping styles accounted for 4.1% and 28.4% of the total effect,respectively Positive coping style and negative coping style accounted for 7.1% and 35.6% of the total effect respectively.Conclusion: The overall situation of mental health of Postgraduates in medical colleges is not optimistic.They feel great pressure from study,employment and future,interpersonal communication and economy.After encountering psychological stress events,339(25.2%)tend to deal with them in a negative attitude.Stress events can cause more damage to personal mental health through the mediating variable of negative coping Therefore,we should pay more attention to the mental health status of postgraduates,establish the screening,early warning,intervention,return visit and other mechanisms of Postgraduates’ psychological problems,appoint the person in charge,emphasize the role of tutor intervention,adopt scientific and efficient monitoring methods and methods,and carry out
