Objective: To evaluate the clinical effect of the Xuebijing in treating criticalpatient with Systemic Inflammatory ResponseMethods: 44 patients admitted to ICU with SIRS were divided into Xuebijing group and contrast group. The contrast group was received common western medicine therapy and the other was received xuebijing except for common western medicine therapy. The WBC , the percent of neutrophil, procalcitonin (PCT), CRP in the plasma and the APACHE II score in the first day and the seventh day were measured. The incidence rate of sepsis and the death rate also should be measured. All data were analyzed with SPSS 10.0.Results: The level of CRP , APACHE II score, The incidence rate of sepsis and the death rate in xuebijing group trended to decrease and was significantly lower than that in contrast group. There were no distinct with the WBC, the percent of neutrophil and the PCT in two groups Conclusion: Xuebijing can effectively treat Critical Patient with SystemicInflammatory Response. It can improve the prognosis.
