Clinical Study Of Tianzhen Decoction In Preventive Treatment Of Migraine With Blood Stasis And Phlegm Type

ObjectivesTo observe the clinical curative effect and safety of Tianzhen Decoction on migraine. The headache seizure frequency, headache duration, headache level in patients with migraine was been observed. We view the influence on simultaneous phenomenon and TCM symptom also. To validate the preventive effect of Tianzhen Decoction on migraine with TCM type of blood stasis and phlegm. Methods67patients with their coming order were randomly divided into treatment group receiving Tianzhen Decoction ,once a day, twice drinking (n=34), control group receiving Sibeline Caps, which was taken orally once before sleeping every night (n=33) . The diagnosis standard were evidence from "International Migraine Congress (2004)" . Traditional Chinese Medicine differentiation refer to "Diagnostic and Curative effect criteria for wind syndrome of head by State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine". We establish type of syndrome as blood stasis and phlegm syndrome which combination wind phlegm and wind blood stasis.The therapeutic course was 3 months for each group. The effect of Tianzhen Decoction in controlling migraine and adverse effect in patients were observed. Analyze the clinical curative effect of Tianzhen Decoction and Sibeline Caps on headache seizure frequency, headache duration, cumulativetime in patients with migraine and view the influence on simultaneous phenomenon and TCM symptom. All these indexes were analyzed to contrast the therapeutical efficacies of each group. To evaluate it's effect on migraine with blood stasis and phlegm type. ResultsThe total effective rate of Tianzhen Decoction group was 70.59%. There was significant difference between Tianzhen Decoction group and Sibeline Caps group about total effective rate. Improvernent of simultaneous phenomenon and TCM type of treatment group is superior to control group. The adverse effect was low in Tianzhen Decoction group. The paitents have good compliance also. ConclusionTianzhen Decoction have definite preventive effect in treating patients with migraine with blood stasis and phlegm type.It could effectively shorten headache duration, alleviate headache level and cumulative time as well as amendment simultaneous phenomenon and TCM symptom. We defined its good curative effect roundly, tiny adverse reaction, good prognosis, very suitable for migraine with blood stasis and phlegm type.
