Clinical Observation On Treating Migraine By Acupuncture With Pressing Diagnosis And Meridian Syndrome Differentiation

Objective:Based on the clinical efficacy of acupuncture with pressing diagnosis and meridian syndrome differentiation on migraine,this paper provides new methods and thoughts on acupuncture clinic treatment for migraine.Methods:70 patients who were diagnosed as migraine were randomly divided into two groups,35 cases in each group.Patients in treatment group were treated by acupuncture with pressing diagnosis and meridian syndrome differentiation.First of all,meridian-collateral pressing was used to find out the sick channels and the deficiency and excess of meridian and entrails were distinguished by Cunkou pulse-taking.Then,based on the specific symptoms and conditions of patients,individual acupoint recipe were protocoled according to "pulse,symptom,acupoint" principle.As for control group,patients were treated with conventional acupuncture therapy from National Chinese Medicine Industry Higher Education the 12th Five-Year Planning Textbook "Acupuncture Therapeutics".Patients in two groups were treated three times a week and twelve times is a course of treatment.There are two courses of treatment and there was a one-week interval between two courses.Through observing the number of migraine attacks(times/month)before and after the treatment,levels of headache,headache duration and concomitant symptoms,VAS and integral table of migraine symptoms were recorded.Then the overall medical effect of two groups were evaluated based on a unified standard.Results:This research took 60 cases that accorded with research approach and finished the treatment as observation objects,30 cases in treatment group and the other 30 cases in control group.(1)Both treatment protocols can improve symptoms.In treatment group,the number of migraine attack,the level of headache,headache duration and concomitant symptom,improvement of total points were better than that of control group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)Both treatment protocols can improve the VAS score.But the analgesic effect of treatment group is better.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).(3)The treatment of two groups were both effective,but the overall effective rate in treatment group was significantly higher than the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusions:(1)The curative effect of acupuncture with pressing diagnosis and meridian syndrome differentiation on migraine was better than the conventional acupuncture therapy.(2)The clinical efficacy of acupuncture with pressing diagnosis and meridian syndrome differentiation on migraine is definite,and is worth to be studied and generalized.
