Genetic Profile Of 15 STR Loci In The Min Nan Population In Southeast China

Background and Objective:With the development of the molecular biology, we have a great progress in recognizing the origin of ourselves. From 90s, Chinese experts have set a series of studies on the origination migration, differentiation and amalgamation of the Chinese population using DNA polymorphism.Minnan area mainly includes Quan Zhou, Xia Man, Zhang Zhou. There are similar custom and language people in the ChaoSan of GuangDong, TaiWan, HaiNan and ZheJiang province in China. It is more than 10 millions people who speak in Min Nan dialect in abroad. And gross population exceeds 50 millions. It has great significance in History , anthropology and medical jurisprudence by investigating the date of Gene.Materials and MethodsSamples used in the study were obtained 122 unrelated individuals of Min Nan population in Southeast China; the electrophoresis was analyzed with the GeneScan software to determine the size of the amplified DNA fragments; the alleles were identified using the Genotyper software.
