Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Age-related Cataract With Chinese Traditional Medicine And Warming Moxibustion

Objective: To study the clinical curative effect of the treatment age-related cataract with Quzhangmingmutang and warming moxibustion and inquiry into its curative mechanism. Based on years of clinical experiences, the late professor Yi Yuanliang manufactured a prepared Chinese medicine—Quzhangmingmutang. Guided by our tutor, we aim to evaluate the method curative action and explore its mechanism according to clinical observation. Methods: To treat 63cases (120 eyes) of age-related cataract with Quzhangmingmutang and warming moxibustion. We observed far sight, crystal turbid variety and symptoms of eye-uneasiness respectively, and sampling has been conducted on parts of the above candidates to carry out checking on the field of visual and electric potential( P- VEP) before and after the treatment. Results: From the results of clinical research, we can see that Quzhangmingmutang and warming moxibustion can improve the eye vision and remedies the eye uneasiness effectively with a total rate of efficiency 85.83%.Conclusion: Quzhangmingmutang and warming moxibustion in combination can obviously produced results in the way of treating age-related cataract. It can then be extended to say that with great deal of anti-oxidants elements contained in Quzhangmingmutang when combining with warming moxibustion enabling the eye tissues maximum absorption of the prescribed medicine.
