Objective: Senile is the process that organism physiological function drops gradually, the tissues and organs degenerate, and finally the organism moves towards death. Along with society's population aging, senile and diseases which caused by senile are more familiar, simultaneously more and more people are intense to the healthy longevity desire, therefore, how to delay senility, achieved the healthy longevity, already becomes one of most important topics in world medical field. The modern medicine involves to the senile mechanism research in many aspects, especially to the free radical theory, the immunology theory and nerve theory. Traditional Chinese medicine had the glorious history to the senile essence and the postponement senile research. The senile theory of traditional Chinese medicine that domestic scholars proposed mainly has the kidney-deficiency senile theory, the weakness of spleen and stomach, the body fluids insufficient senile theory and so on. In which the most representative one is the kidney-deficiency senile theory. This theory thought the kidney-deficiency is the senile basic reason, kidney essence deficiency is the intrinsic mechanism which induces organizational structure and the physiological function declined gradually. According to the kidney-deficiency senile theory, we establish therapeutic principle that to invigorate kidney essence, and we select the professor Xie's prescription"the 1st anti-senile prescription"which is used in the D-galactose mice senile model, and then we examine target change of SOD,MDA,GSH-Px in the serum, discuss postponement senile mechanism of"the 1st anti-senile prescription"according to the representative free radical theory aspect, at last we may provide the theory and the experiment basis for the clinical traditional Chinese medicine.
