A Study On Reconstructing The Rural Cooperation Medical System In West China

In the mid 20^th century, the emergence and the development of the rural cooperation medical system have greatly improved western peasants' health conditions. But since the economic distribution, western rural cooperation medical system gradually ran into dilemma. The disease has been an important reason for peasant' s poverty and has threatened economic development and social stability in the rural areas of west China, In order to ensure the absence of western peasants' fundamental medical security, the new rural cooperation medical system started in our country in 2003. The system's implementing in the last three years mingled glad with fear. The glad is that it has resolved the problem of western peasants' health to some extent. The fear is that because of the institutional defects and other restraints, the new rural cooperation medical system's sustainable development is challenged.Facing the new subject, based on the history of the rural cooperation medical system, the thesis discusses the necessity of reconstructing the system now from tow aspects, which are realistic demands and theoretical basis. The thesis also analyzes the creativity of the new rural cooperation medical system, and summarizes such restraints as absence of laws, lack of fund, incomplete health system. Referring to the modes of rural cooperation medical system, the thesis constructs a feasible mode for western new rural cooperation medical system with local characteristics of western rural area. Meanwhile, the thesis mainly suggests that government fulfill the system's sustainable development aiming at the western special conditions.
