Job analysis is a significant measure for an organization to find varying information around its circumstance. Job analysis of clinic department director in hospital is a basic work and important point of modern hospital management.The study simply summarized the current situation of clinic department director group and the necessity of its job analysis. Taking clinic department director in general hospital as the sample, the incumbent's responsibilities, corresponding power, job stress, job qualification and so on, as the investigate content, and by the means of questionnaire, researchers conducted the investigation in some large scale general hospital.This study shows that, clinic department directors relatively emphasize: catching the medical market information for decision-maker to make decision on new project, improving work ways and means, business process reengineering, and so on; at the same time, they need more power on management and operation; while assisting the superior manager to do some work for human resource management and exploitation, they also require corresponding power; establishment of discipline should be further strengthened. This study also indicates that, the incumbents bear great job stress; the efficiency is low when they perform their duties; the system of the incumbents' responsibilities is over-laden for them.Hereby, clinic department director's job report, which includes eight kinds ofresponsibilities, five kinds of power and three parts of job qualifications, was established. The system of the incumbent's responsibilities and power and job qualification were discussed and expounded. As to the problems in the study, researchers try to get to the root of them, and offered some advices: the clinic department director should be given more power to enhance their independence when they perform their duties; knowledge management should be strengthened to construct high efficiency knowledge team; organization structure might be redesigned; personnel system could be consummated to build high quality clinic director group...
