Construction Of Leadership Evaluation Index System For Director Of Nursing Department

Objective:This study is based on leadership theory, combined with the actuality of the director of nursing department, using the Delphy expert consultation method to construct the evaluation index system of the director of nursing department, to provide the theoretical basis for the promotion and cultivation of the director of nursing department in China.Methods:(1) This study tentatively set the evaluation index system framework of the director of the nursing department leadership, through literature review, in-depth interviews and open questionnaire.(2) Through two rounds of Delphi expert consultation, to determine the index system of various dimensions and items, and then using the analytic hierarchy process(ahp) is applied in determining weights of indicators at all levels, to construct the initial evaluation index system. The representativeness and credibility of the Delphi method were tested by the positive coefficient, authoritative coefficient, the concentration of expert advice and coordination coefficient.(3) According to the formation of nursing department director leadership evaluation index system,preliminary design director of nursing leadership evaluation questionnaire, selected the secondary or tertiary hospital director of nursing department conducted a questionnaire survey, through the statistics of the survey results to analyze the intrinsic quality of evaluation index system, The reliability testing of the index system was tested by Cronbach’s α. The content validity and construct validity of the index system was tested by the expert method and correlation analysis.Results:(1) This research finally established including 3 first level indicators, 9 secondary indicators, 30 three level indicators of leadership evaluation index system for director of nursing department.(2) The two-round Delphi method had a positive coefficient 0.926,1.0; The authority coefficient of the expert is in 0.815-1.0, and the authority coefficient of the expert group is 0.902, In addition, the level-1 dimension’s coordination coefficient of0.424, the level-2 dimension’s of 0.321, and the level-3 dimension’s of 0.316, chi-square test P<0.05 for all.(3) The constructed index system is proved to have good reliability and validity through confirmatory analysis and evaluation, Cronbach’s α of total system was up to 0.995, The Cronbach ’s alpha coefficients of all the first level indexes are 0.987.the secondary indicators of Cronbach’s alpha coefficient between 0.947 to 0.984; Content validity of the scale level index(S- CVI) is 0.937, structure validity after correlation analysis, The correlation coefficient between the first level index and the index system is in 0.98-0.996, P<0.05 for all.Conclusion:This study is based on a mature theory of leadership, and connecting with the director of nursing department work present situation, through the combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods to build the evaluation index system of director of nursing department leadership, has enriched the theory of leadership in nursing field application, and provided the theoretical basis for the promotion and cultivation of the director of nursing department in China.
