| Objective: According to the theory of Chinese medicine and Chinese- western combined medicine, the research systematically probes into the effect of gouty capsule for the gouty arthritis.Methods: we collected 45 inpatients or outpatients of gout form 2002~2004. we prescribed gouty capsule for 30 cases as the treating group. The control group contains 15 cases, prescribed with Allopurinol. Treat for 2 months and inquire for 3 months to observe the relapse and reverse reaction.Results: Through the clinical observation ,we can see that the total effect and the main symptom have no obvious difference between the two groups. (P>0.05) .But the clinical symptoms, the relapse rate, the interphase and the reverse reaction of the treating group are obviously superior to the control group. (P<0.05 ) .Conclusion: This testifies it is right that the theory of internal toxin leading to the syndrome and the treatment of clearing heat and toxic material and discharge the toxin for gouty arthritis.
